DramaTech Announces Auditions for Art is Useless When You’re Being Mauled by a Bear by Alisa Tangredi
Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, September 1 from 6 – 9 pm
About the Show: A haunting and darkly whimsical exploration of grief, guilt, and survival, ART IS USELESS WHEN YOU’RE BEING MAULED BY A BEAR follows one woman’s fantastical descent through memory, madness, and the stories we tell ourselves to endure loss. Along the way, she encounters creatures both real and imagined—some seemingly torn from a Grimms’ fairy tale—as she is forced toward an inescapable truth. Strange, unsettling, and unexpectedly powerful, this surreal journey asks what remains when art, reason, and reality begin to slip away. And yes, there is a bear.
Auditions will take place at DramaTech Theatre on Monday and Tuesday from 6-9 pm. You only need to one day of auditions. To read the script (which we highly recommend), click here.
