Georgia Tech Improv Festival 2020

MARCH 6-7, 2020!

Come play with Georgia Tech’s resident improv troupe, Let’s Try This! in our epic 2-day long improv festival!

All ages and experience levels are welcome to come to shows and attend workshops; price of admission for shows is $7 for GT students and $10 regular admission. Workshops are totally free! Come see some of the best improv in Atlanta, from college groups to local troupes!

The festival will be held in the Dramatech Black Box: 349 Ferst Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30332

PARKING: Please park in the Student Center Lot adjacent to the theatre, located at 350 Ferst Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30332 (Area 2 on the parking map located here: http://pts.gatech.edu/sites/default/files/documents/map_20_visitor_cs6.pdf ). Signs will be there to guide you to the theatre! If you are unable to find the parking lot, please contact our Outreachasaurus, Hannah, at 404-441-1749 for assistance.

SCHEDULE:

FRIDAY, MARCH 6:
8:00 pm: College Troupe Show! Come see colleges from around Atlanta showcase their wicked skills for your entertainment. Following the show, all the college troupes will have a big ol’ jam together! If you’re in a college troupe, come join us and play with other troupes from the area- The more we can have to kick off our festival, the merrier! FEATURING: KISS, mOUthing off, Improv Athens, Six Kids, and LTT!

SATURDAY MARCH 7:
11:00 am – 1:00 pm: LTT! will host a workshop from some of our members, which is open to the public and anyone is welcome to attend!
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Workshops by guest directors from the Atlanta area: featuring AMANDA ROUNTREE, former director of Improvised Shakespeare (https://amandarountree.com/), and VINCENT MIGLIORE, director from The Village Theatre (http://www.villagecomedy.com/)!
4:30 pm -6:30 pm: Workshops round 2! Featuring SARAH BRESEE of the Improvised Vagina Monologues, and MARKIS GALLASHAW of Village Theatre!
8:00 pm: Atlanta Troupe Show! Troupes from all around Atlanta are coming right here to the Blackbox theatre to play together and make some magical improv happen. Following the show, all the Atlanta troupes will jam together. Don’t miss it! FEATURING: Krirg from Dad’s Garage, Village House Main Cast, and Dumb, Idiot, Kid, Wizard!
12:00 am: MIDNIGHT JAM! Anyone interested in playing together is welcome (including Atlanta and College troupes!)
