DramaTech EC Meeting January 30, 2012
Business Manager (Dan O'Rourke):
- Need house managers
- Still have some reimbursements for people
- Still haven't heard anything about budget defense
Production Manager (Andrew Nemchik):
- RENT and One Acts Crews: still looking for a few people
- Tomorrow at 1:40, the advanced film class will be using the space
Marketing Director (Keivn Sabato):
- Calls for One Acts are closed
- Will need people postering and chalking soon
- Need to take care of the yearbook page thing
- Need to get letters from the one acts directors for Twisted Reality program
Secretary (Alyssa Kuncaitis):
- No Report
Member at Large (John Quinn):
- Suggestions for projects: label breaker box, make a slush mailing list
President (Melinda Ellington):
- Meeting with the Alliance soon to exchange program inserts for the RENT program
- PRC presenting this week
- VT presenting this week
- Big 3 discussion April 9th
- Compiling contacts list for next president
- Met with Dr Shafer last week about renovations, told us to talk to George to come to an agreement
- Meeting of club members on Thursday about the renovation planning
- Toured Turner Studios and working with them to get DTer's tours and opportunities, could possibly lead into an overall Georgia Tech thing
- Wing place is catering for a club meeting sometime
Artistic Director (Melissa Foulger):
- Thursday the Joe Good Performance Group will be doing a class on movement and voice from 3-4:30, anyone is welcome to join
- Yesterday met with Keith and Keller about Keller's return to work parties starting on Sunday
- Meeting with the new Department head candidates for LCC next Monday and Friday
- Melissa starts day rehearsals in Marietta Feb 10th and will be less accessible
- Someone interested in finding a place for a new play to have it's original performance, we will get the script as soon as it is finished being revised, would be considered for AD show 2013, could be potential touring opportunities
TSC:
- Received VectorWorks and LightWrite, still trying to set up a base plot
- No more reports of mince in the next week, but sent in maintenance requests for a few other things
- Had a TSC meeting, discussed things
- Looking at 2 amps, but have to go to a music store to see them, both keyboard amps, looks the same as the old one, but blue
- Still looking at microphones
- RENT directors compiling list of keyboards
Committee Reports
LTT!
- Had a show Friday
- Have shows in 2 and 4 weeks
- NCCAF happening soon
Historian:
- LTT show was filmed
- Working on VT videos
- Looking for people to film everything
- Created a meeting minutes drawer
- We own a VCR
- Looking into scanning our scripts
- Will be taking pictures at the LAN party
- IMDT problems go to Graham: BBCF 2011 "bookmanagers"???
PRC:
- Presenting on Wednesday
- Voting the 15th
- Have not yet discussed moving the musical into the Ferst Center, need to discuss in the club meeting
- Historian will have an inventory of scripts we have for future PRC's
- The show should be chosen before choosing whether to move
PPM:
- PPM committee will resume Feb 20
- Any concerns can go Quigley or the ppm list
VT:
- Have proposal for the VT troupe
- Email secretary@dramatech.org to see a copy of the proposal
- Approved
Banquet:
- We had a meeting
Old Business:
- Website: no longer have anyone to connect the design to the back end; Have to pay more money or go back to cool dog, or scrap the whole idea; putting the project on hold
- Amendment: could put in the ppm or hitchhiker's guide, Dan might do something sometime
New Business:
- Historian wants to set up a video viewing party, will coordinate with Production Manager
